The demons of Tzeench have overtaken our beloved Rogue Treader and have drawn in several players in their everchanging powerplay by removing their subtitles and text from the game. Here is how to fix missing text in Rogue Trader.
How to bring back the missing subtitles in Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader
Bringing back the missing subtitles in Rogue Trader is straightforward; simply follow these steps to fix the issue:
- Press the Esc button if you're on PC or the Start/settings button if you're on console platforms to bring up the Settings menu.
- Click Options.
- Select Accessibility from the top menu bar.
- Under the Font Size slider, check to see the setting number. Set the Font size to 1.0.
It should be set to 1.0 by default, but you will likely see a different value. In my game, it was set to 0, and I could not see any text. Bring it back up to 1.0; doing so will restore the font settings. Praise be the Omnissah.

Occasionally, you might come upon missing text during dialogue or browsing through game menus. This is caused by an in-game bug, which should be fixed in a patch at some point (if it hasn't already been by the time you're reading this). I am unsure what triggers this game behavior, but it likely has something to do with the game or some other app in Windows interacting with the .config file, which contains your game presets. This problem has been present since the game was released, and it will hopefully be fixed soon.
