Wordle game causes major confusion as players report two different words in one day

Which word did you get today?

Players of the hit word guessing game Wordle found themselves scratching their heads as it appears two different words were circulated in one day. The majority seemed to get one word while a minority found themselves bizarrely solving another puzzle for the day.

The Wordle puzzle for day 284 left many players confused as they scrambled to figure out which fellow players and acquaintances got what word for the day. It appears that the vast majority of players had the word "stove" for the day, but some other users reported getting another word entirely. The minority of players appeared to be getting the word, "harry" to their surprise.

All across Reddit, Twitter, and other social media platforms, players have decried this bizarre occurrence, namely those who worry this could become a regular thing in the future. Many find the appeal of Wordle to be the uniformity of the puzzles, that everyone is guessing the same word across the globe each day. These anxieties had already begun after New York Times bought the word game from creator Josh Wardle. Some fear this may be the beginning of unsavory changes for the game.
