If you're trying to log into Wow Classic or Season of Discovery, then you might get this error message if you haven't played WoW in a long time (or are new). If so, here's how you easily fix it so you can get in-game.
How to fix Active game time required error in WoW Classic
When you attempt to log into a WoW Classic server, you may be with this specific error and have little to go on. What this error message means is you currently don't have an active World of Warcraft subscription. To play WoW Classic, you need this subscription active on your account before the server will let you in. Thankfully, this is easy to resolve.
To activate a WoW subscription, log into your Battle.net launcher and click on the Subscription Expired button on the bottom left. This will take you to your Account information, where you can set up a subscription in just a few minutes. An active WoW subscription costs $15 dollars a month, at the bare minimum. Don't worry: You can cancel your WoW subscription after setting it up so it does not automatically charge you for the next month (in case you forget about it). Doing this will still grant you access to the WoW servers for a full month.
