Everything we know about the new Talent System in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight

It's time to level up.

Not since Mists of Pandaria has World of Warcraft seen such an overhaul to the talent system as the impending rework set to come with Dragonflight. During the reveal, several Blizzard designers shared details on what's to come.

How does the new Talent System work in WoW: Dragonflight

Talent trees are making a return. Players will have two talent trees to work with in Dragonflight. One tree will focus on class utility (Druid, Paladin, etc.) while the other focuses on class specialization (resto, feral, retribution, etc.). The new trees allow players to select spells and abilities that would not have been available to specializations before.

Additionally, players will be able to create and save loadouts. This allows them to have builds for select activities like raiding, questing, and battlegrounds tha they can swap on the fly.

This overhaul is needed and seems like it will go a long way to restore agency to players. It appears that Blizzard wants to put more RPG back into their MMORPG, and this is a great step forward. Pro Game Guides will delve into the system more as Blizzard releases more information.
