World of Warcraft is one of Blizzard's most well-known games and one of the most popular and long-lasting MMOs. It has only ever been available on PC, but this could change with Microsoft's recent acquisition of Blizzard. Some fans may be wondering if World of Warcraft will be coming to console, specifically Xbox.
It is unknown if World of Warcraft will be coming to consoles. Several MMOs are available on console currently, such as Elder Scrolls Online, which Microsoft also owns. On the other hand, many MMOs remain PC exclusive such as New World and Lost Ark. The acquisition will not be finalized until 2023, so it will be some time before this is truly known.

If World of Warcraft were to come to console, it would greatly increase its player base and let more players try the game out for the first time. It would also mean making World of Warcraft playable with a controller, which would be an interesting challenge.
Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer to this as it is still too early to tell. Should any more information about this be announced, we will update this guide with more information!
Announcements of Microsoft's planned acquisition of Blizzard and Activision came on Jan. 18, 2022, when Microsoft's CEO Phil Spencer released a statement. It details how the company plans to incorporate the games of Blizzard and Activision into their own. The acquisition is estimated to be completed sometime in 2023.
This also comes in around the numerous scandals, accusations, and lawsuits that Activision/Blizzard has received. Therefore, it could be speculated that this acquisition is also intended to restore the company's names and deal with the various issues within the company.
