Blizzard Entertainment announced at Blizzcon 2023 that World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic is in development, despite many in the WoW community being against the expansion due to its rocky original release. Blizzard also gave us a relative release date for Cataclysm Classic, defining when to expect it to hit official servers.
When does World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic release?
WoW Cataclysm Classic is slated to release sometime in 2024. No exact release date was given, and based on the release dates for both The Burning Crusade Classic and The Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Cataclysm Classic could come out as a surprise anytime next year.
As with the previous expansions in WoW Classic, players can expect a similar experience to WoW Cataclysm's initial release, with additional changes set to alter some factors of gameplay.
