All Wow Season of Discovery DPS Units Tier List

It's clear that Season of Discovery prefers spellcaster units instead of units that rely on dealing out physical damage. Nevertheless, the Runes that came with this expansion made a significant upgrade to the Hunter class. Melee Hunter is the best DPS unit in Season of Discovery, followed closely by the ever-reliable Mage. Let's see how the other DPS units fare in the power rankings.

AElemental Shaman, Shadow Priest, Warrior
BBalance Druid, Feral Druid, Hunter, Rogue
CEnhancement Shaman, Retribution Paladin

Best DPS Units in WoW Season of Discovery

S-Tier

  • Melee Hunter - Season of Discovery blessed the Hunter class with extremely powerful Runes. Hunters had the ability to play as a close combat class before, but it was underutilized due to much better options. However, the new rune builds made the Hunter class into an absolute damage-dealing monster.
  • Warlock - Spellcasters used to struggle because they had few effective spells before level 40. In this expansion, Warlocks use a combination of spell power, buff scaling, and the new rune options to wreak havoc with stellar single-target damage and burst damage.

A-Tier

  • Warrior—High-armored raid bosses make life more difficult for all melee classes. Warrior overcomes that with high-damage weapons, raid buffs, and powerful runes. Nonetheless, Warriors need full raid gear to unleash their true potential against armored bosses.
  • Unlocking the full rotation and new talents upgraded Shadow Priest into the best DPS spellcaster unit. Shadow Priest's specialty is damage over time, combined with Mind Blast and Mind Spike spells. Their spell damage and the talents of Shadow Priests make them a high-tier class.

B-Tier

  • Feral Druid - Feral Druids are usually not in the meta-game, but they become abruptly interesting around level 40. Ferals in Season of Discovery are the only way for the Alliance to get Windfury Totem, the greatest melee buff. However, their poor stacking ability and lack of AoE put them down.
  • Rogue - Strongest melee class after Warrior, Rogue can deal a lot of damage thanks to the poisons and various damage buffs. What keeps Rogue in B-Tier is the lack of other benefits Warriors and Hunters have.

C-Tier

  • Enhancement Shaman - This class deals solid damage, but that's marred by the fact that Enhancement Shaman is a mana-spending melee unit that requires some heavy Regen ability. Additionally, this class lacks unique Shaman buffs, and its melee is inferior to higher-tiers.
