Wild Heart's Return is Lingyang's Companion Story, a special quest type in Wuthering Waves dedicated to exploring character backgrounds. As you play through the quest, you'll be asked to go in the direction of the bell in order to find Lingyang. Here's how to do it.

While this quest objective is active, the navigator will not direct you to the exact source of the bell sounds. However, part of the map will be highlighted to signify that the bell sounds can only be found within the enclosed space. When you exit the quest area, the bell sounds will no longer be audible.
The game implied that you were meant to follow the sound of the bell, but the sound doesn't actually get louder the closer you are to the source, and the bell sounds the same anywhere in the quest area. Instead, the objective requires looking for Acoustic Prints, which are faint images of soundwaves.
While running around the quest area, follow the direction the Acostic Prints are facing to direct your character to the correct path. They will keep appearing and disappearing as you go along, so pay attention to the screen. If you're having trouble seeing them during the day, change the in-game time to night for better visibility.
You can also cheat by heading directly to the southern part of the highlighted area in the mini-map, where the Acoustic Prints will point in Lingyang's direction. Approaching Lingyang will trigger dialogue and complete the objective.
