How to turn on Night Mode.

Xbox Series X UI received a large update, enabling the dashboard to reach 4k resolution. Along with the 4K upgrade, the Xbox Series X now has Night Mode with customizable dimming options.

To turn on Night Mode, go to Settings, select Accessibility, and then select Night Mode. Alternatively, go to Settings, select TV & Display Options, and select Night Mode.

The Night Mode menu has many different options to customize the display. Owners can dim the brightness of the screen and adjust a blue light filter. There is also an option to block HDR, which will reduce the contrast between extreme lights and darks and reduce overall color quality. Owners can also change the theme between light, and however dark will put less strain on the eyes in Night Mode.

Users can also select when Night Mode activates and ends. There is an option to switch Night Mode on at sunset and off at sunrise, but there is also an option to select the exact times Night Mode turns off and on.

Night Mode can also reduce the brightness of both the controller and console Xbox logo light if users want to watch a movie or play games without the bright light. Night Mode is intended to reduce the strain on the eyes and help users sleep better after watching the TV display. Night Mode has very deep customization options that will hopefully help those who would like less strain or just have a preference on display settings.
