How to preload XDefiant

The highly awaited free-to-play shooter XDefiant is set for worldwide launch very soon and FPS fans will likely be counting down the days until they can hop in to this Ubisoft-styled CoD competitor. Good news! You can now preload the game in time for the launch and we'll explain how to do just that.

How to preload XDefiant on different platforms

Preloading XDefiant is basically the same for all platforms and is very easy. For convenience we'll explain how to do that for each of the platforms:

How to preload XDefiant on PC

You can access XDefiant via Ubisoft Connect. To preload the game:

  • Go to the Ubisoft Connect app and search for XDefiant.
  • You'll have the option to add it to your games library (if you haven't already). Then, the option to preload the game will appear.
  • Press it and then you can preload it.

How to preload XDefiant on PlayStation

To preload on PlayStation:

  • Go to the PlayStation Store and search for XDefiant.
  • Press the download button to preload the game.

How to preload XDefiant on Xbox

To preload on Xbox:

  • Go to the Xbox Store and search for XDefiant.
  • Press the download button to preload the game.

XDefiant Launch Times and File Size

XDefiant is set for release worldwide on May 21 at 1PM ET in the US and Canada, 7PM CEST in Europe, 2PM BRT in South America, and on May 22 at 3AM AET in Oceania and Asia. After preloading the game, players can access it at these exact times. According to Ubisoft, the game is expected to be around 35 GB on PC and 30 GB on consoles so it won't take up a lot of space in your storage.
