Out of all the stats in XDefiant, there is one that the players are unsure about, and that is the Average Skill Rating. If you want to know what it is, check out the explanation below before getting back into the arena to try and increase it.
Average Skill Rating Stat in XDefiant, explained
When you go to your profile and open your Career Stats, you can check your Playtime with the different factions as well as your Performance Stats, which include:
- Win/Loss Ratio
- Kill/Death Ratio
- Score/Minute
- Average Skill Rating
The Average Skill Rating has confused many since we don't have any official confirmation about what this stat measures exactly or what it's used for. The biggest guess is that this will actually be the SBMM measure for Ranked Matches.
That means that you will be paired up with others with similar Average Skill Ratings when you queue up for Ranked. Ubisoft will not include skill-based matchmaking in unranked matches, so this stat shouldn't affect you if you decide only to play casually (if you can actually get into a match with all of the issues going about).
Another unknown as of yet is what the Average Skill Rating takes into account. So far, the biggest possibility is that it combines all of your other stats into an average score.
This grade will probably be taken into account for your Rank once the Ranked Matches go live. The higher the score, the better your rankings should be. Since you can already get the rating, a good idea would be to try to increase your score so that you can have a head start for the actual Ranked mode.
There are no details on if there is an upper (or lower) limit to the Average Skill Rating score. I've managed to get into the negatives, but I've seen people with a score of 2k+. Hopefully, Ubisoft will clear up the confusion and give us details about this stat soon.
