Yes, you can indeed repair the Decayed Master Sword in TotK. If you are like me and desperately need a weapon that won't break after only a couple of uses, this is very good news. Unfortunately, the only way to get it is by following the storyline progression, and you won't find it until later on. Beware: heavy spoilers ahead!

How can you find the Decayed Master Sword in Tears of the Kingdom?

You can find the Decayed Master Sword in TotK by locating the Light Dragon, as the legendary Sword sits on top of the creature's head. The easiest way to hunt down the Dragon is by following the main storyline, which takes you into the Great Hyrule Forest, which you must cleanse first. To learn the light Dragon's current location, talk to the Deku Tree to initiate the main story quest. You will receive the objective marker, which will constantly move because the Dragon will continuously be in flight.

  • Head to the nearest Skyview Tower to reach the Dragon.
  • Use your Glider to fly up to the Dragon and land on its back.
    • Run to its head and hold A to interact, initiating a mini-game. You will need two full stamina circles to pull the Sword out successfully. Eating food that boosts your stamina will not work here, so you must prioritize stamina over hearts to complete this section.

Once you complete this quest, you will have the fully repaired Master Sword. The Sword will still be breakable like every other weapon in the game, but it will self-repair after ten minutes.
