Genshin Impact is coming to the Epic Games Store on June 9

Genshin Impact is headed to the Epic Games Store on June 9, announced developer miHoYo. This launch coincides with the upcoming 1.6 update which goes live on the same day as the Epic Games Store PC release.

To help Travelers prepare for their new journey across the vast world of Teyvat, the developers have provided an in-game redemption code as a special gift. The code is "GenshinEpic" which will activate on June 9 for a limited time. It's unclear if this code will work for all players, or just new players. The rewards also remain a mystery until June 9, but players can redeem currently active Genshin Impact codes for free rewards now.

Genshin Impact players on PC, iOs, and Android may enjoy the game on these devices using the same account, since the game is cross-platform and carries over progression. Despite already being available on PC, Genshin Impact appearing on the Epic Games Store provides yet another alternative way to play with the same account. The only version that does not include cross-platform support at this time is the PlayStation versions.

Launched on Sept. 28, 2020, Genshin Impact is an anime action-roleplaying game where players use elemental magic and character-switching to defeat enemies and bosses. Along the journey, players meet new characters and have the opportunity to unlock these characters using gacha mechanics. Genshin Impact is frequently updated with new map regions, characters, weapons, lore, and more to keep players engaged in this ever-evolving online world.

Players can look forward to the upcoming Genshin Impact 1.6 update on June 9, where new character Kazuha makes his story debut.
