How to get and use custom portraits in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Want to use custom portraits in Pathfinder? Check out our custom portraits guide!

Getting custom portraits for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is easy and can be done exactly how it was done in the previous game, Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

In short, if you want custom portraits, you can both obtain and use them by going to the folder on your PC as shown below.

  • C:\Users\urpcname\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous\Portraits

Inside the folder labeled Portraits, create a new one and label it 03. Or call it whatever you like, the folder name is not really important.

What is important is the type of image or portrait you copy into the folder. If you want to use your own images, they must first be the same size as the basic template images in the folder as listed below.

  • Small: 188 by 244
  • Medium: 332 by 432
  • Full-length: 692 by 1024

So if there is a custom image you want to use, you will need to create three versions of it using the image sizes above and then copy and paste them into a folder inside Portraits.

Once you've copied the images over, simply hit Refresh Portraits after clicking Change Portrait, and your new custom portraits will show up in the game.

Another method of getting and using portraits is to simply download them from mod packs on the Nexus mod website. You can also use any Pathfinder: Kingmaker portraits you may have downloaded, as both games use the same custom portrait system.

Just find the Pathfinder: Kingmaker portrait folder and copy the entire folder over, and they will work in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
