How to unlock the Stay on Target Trophy in Sonic Colors

Hit that Sweet Spot.

With the Sonic Colors Ultimate remaster, SEGA’s blue blur sees updated graphics and frame rates and the addition of trophies and achievements on modern consoles. These extra tasks may take a bit more effort to unlock, but with the right aid, they’re easy to grab.

Sonic needs to defeat 100 enemies with the Sweet Spot Homing Attack to unlock the Stay on Target trophy. Unlike the regular Homing Attack, Sonic will have to time his dash just right to execute this move.

When Sonic first targets enemies in Sonic Colors, the ring surrounding them harbors a white border. Wait a bit longer, and a green circle encompasses these enemies as well. Sonic needs to hit enemies while the green border is active. With each successful hit, players will hear a ring that helps them differentiate between a normal Homing Attack and a Sweet Spot Homing Attack.

Getting the timing down for this technique may take a bit of practice, but after getting a feel for the Sweet Spot, Sonic will be shredding enemies with ease. Execute this attack 100 times, and the Stay on Target trophy will be yours.
