What is considered Freezing Temperatures in Phasmophobia?

If you record anything below or at 0°C on your thermometer, it is considered freezing temperatures in Phasmophobia. Remember that the temperatures have been reworked in the recent Ascension update. This update made the thermometer one of the starting items in the game, meaning new players won't have to purchase it.

Prior to this update, new players had to rely on cold breath, which has also been reworked. You will start to get a freezing breath at 5°C. Additionally, non-freezing ghosts can now lower the temperature as much as 1°C, meaning that they can also give you cold breath, and the only way to confirm for a freezing ghost is by using the thermometer.

The freezing ghosts can take the temperature down to as low as -10°C, but the speed at which they do that has changed. After the update, the room temperature changes at one-third of the previous rate and will be consistent for all players. All of these changes make the temperatures realistic and much more difficult.
