How to unlock the Phantom Cloak in Metroid Dread

You can't see me!

The Phantom Cloak is a new ability that makes its debut in Metroid Dread. This ability renders Samus invisible and allows her to enter sensor doors and remain undetected by the enemies—even the E.M.M.I. You may be wondering how to unlock the Phantom Cloak.

This ability is found in Artaria shortly after defeating Corpius. This ability is similar to that boss' ability to cloak itself, and it will come in handy often during your playthrough.

The Phantom Cloak gives Samus a new energy bar called Aeion. Using this invisibility will slowly drain the bar while moving or shooting will drain it significantly. If your Aeion bar is completely drained, then it will use your life energy. The Phantom Cloak will drain Samus' health to 1, and then it will deactivate.

This ability will come in handy against the E.M.M.I. as it allows you to hide rather than just run from them. Be warned that if an E.M.M.I. bumps into you, it will grab you and kill you. If its light turns red, your cloak ability will not hide you from it. Also, once you deactivate Phantom Cloak, you will have to wait a few moments before you can use it again.
