Should you fight monsters in Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier

Killing monsters is part of the game.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a battle royale spin-off of Final Fantasy VII. Compared to other battle royales, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier stands out in a couple of ways. Players can utilize guns and materia not only against other players but also against roaming monsters.

Players may be wondering if they should fight monsters, and the answer is yes. It's easy to avoid them and think you should do so, but monsters can provide much-needed resources. This includes Gil, experience, and data. Killing monsters also comes up as contracts.

You can use Gil to purchase weapons and materia from vending machines, while experience will level up your character. This increases your hit points and lets you last longer in fights. Data dropped from monsters can be redeemed for cosmetic items to customize your character.

There are a lot of monsters that come from the Final Fantasy series, so long-time players will recognize a lot of them. You should learn their attack patterns and weaknesses as well as what level each one is. Just watch out for the Tonberry—they are very dangerous.
