New stop-motion animated short stars the newly revealed Hisuian Voltorb for Pokémon Legends Arceus

Hisuian Voltorb is the most adorable new Hisuian Pokémon yet.

The Pokémon Company released a cute new stop-motion video starring the newest Hisuian Pokémon—Voltorb. Hisuian Voltorb is a dual-wielding electric and grass-type and takes the appearance of an old-fashioned Poké Ball made out of wood. Whereas classic Voltorb is quick to anger and explodes easily, Hisuian Voltorb is friendly and energetic.

Possibly too energetic based on the new stop-motion video. The video has Hisuian Voltorb help pick some berries with a Pikachu, Buneary, and Spheal. However, Voltorb's excitement gets the better of it, and he starts eating the Pokémon berries before the others get a chance to eat them.

Spheal gets so upset with Voltorb's high energy that it starts running away crying. Voltorb chases the Spheal before getting so excited that Voltorb is lifted in the air to let out a burst of electricity. The electricity fries the rest of the berries, making the other Pokémon angry and Voltorb a little embarrassed. The video ends with a "To Be Continued…", revealing that more stop motions are to come.

The Pokémon Company has promoted the franchise with a variety of different animations, including Pokémon Generations and Pokémon Evolutions. However, this Hisuian Voltrob short is one of the few times the franchise tips its toes in the magic of stop-motion. The results are very adorable.
