Supply Drop weapon rotation for Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance

The Alternator is back on the ground, thank goodness.

Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance may not be adding a new weapon to the lineup, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t shaking up the existing lineup in other ways. One of those ways, according to an Apex Legends press panel, is the new Supply Drop lineup. Most seasons include some sort of change to the crate weapon lineup, and generally two weapons of the same weapon type switch places. This time around, we are seeing the swap in the submachine gun category.

Alternator SMG returns to Ground Loot

The Alternator entered the Supply Drop in Season 10: Emergence, alongside the Spitfire, which still remains there. Now the Alternator, two seasons later, is returning to the ground loot. This means that the built in Disruptor Rounds Hop-Up that gave it a multiplier against shields is being removed. Since that Hop-Up is not in the loot pool either, the Alternator will not take a Hop-Up for Season 12. The Alternator will also be added to the Arenas shop.

Volt SMG enters the Supply Drop

The Volt SMG, on the other hand, is going into the Supply Drop. While there is no built in Hop-Up for the Volt, it is seeing a massive buff. Base damage per bullet is being raised from 15 to 17, and each magazine tier will have two more shots in it as well. This is extremely substantial for a gun with a fire rate as high as the Volt’s. The Volt was the main competition for R-99 users, so expect to see a rise in R-99 plays in Season 12. The Volt will also be removed from the Arenas shop.

Season 12 Supply Drop Weapons

  • Kraber .50-Cal Sniper
  • M600 Spitfire
  • Volt SMG
  • G7 Scout
