Salt smuggling has created problems for the citizens of Aesfrost, leading to the constabulary asking for outside help from Serenoa. This is how you'll meet Rudolph Mueller, a convicted salt smuggler working with Sycras in the hopes of receiving a lighter jail sentence. Similar to Corentin, he can be recruited to House Wolffort following the events of Chapter Three, adding some useful tools and traps to your team.

Which one should you choose?

Fortunately, there isn't a wrong answer. Whichever character you miss can be recruited later on in the main story, so long as Serenoa's convictions align with theirs. This means that it's all really just a matter of preference, as you'll still visit either Aesfrost or Hyzante down the road.

If you're interested in learning more about the Saintly Seven and wielding ice magic, head to the Holy Land of Hyzante. If you're curious about the Aesfrost family and the ability to place traps on the battlefield, travel to the Grand Duchy of Aesfrost. Now that you're armed with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision, all that's left for you is to continue Chapter Three!
