A good chunk of Genshin Impact gameplay involves character building, which means raiding the Artifact Domains until your Resin runs out. With the ability to carry 1,500 Artifacts at once, there's enough room in the Inventory for fodder to pile up, making it difficult to find the perfect piece with the exact substats you need.
The Artifact sort filter is an indispensable quality-of-life feature that can help you save time choosing the perfect Artifact for your characters. It allows you to filter based on Artifact Set and substats, as well as sort by Attribute priority. Read on to find out how to use it.
Sort from Inventory
Start by heading to the Artifact Inventory and selecting the filter option on the bottom left. Choose your preferred Artifact Set. There are currently no other sort functions in the Inventory, but getting a quick glance at how many pieces you have in each Set can help you decide whether to raid a Domain one more time or save your Resin for another resource.

Sort from Character Artifact Menu
The Character Artifact menu features a more robust sorting tool that allows you to filter through Artifact Sets, as well as specific Attributes. Choose a character and select Set Filter / All. After confirming your Artifact Set selection, click on the sort icon beside the former.
You can filter up to two Attributes. The first Attribute you click will have a Sort Order of #1, while the second will have a Sort Order of #2. This means that the filter will prioritize finding Artifacts with Attribute #1. Attribute #2 will be second in priority, while the rest of the stats will be filtered at random.
For example, if you select CRIT DMG as Attribute #1 and CRIT Rate as Attribute #2, you'll receive Artifacts with these main stats and substats at the top of the list. While it doesn't remove Artifacts that don't match the filter, they're deprioritized and will fall at the bottom of the list.
The same filter will apply as you switch between Artifact types (Goblet, Circlet, etc). Turn off the filter by exiting and re-entering the Artifact menu.
