How to upgrade the Sacred Flasks in Elden Ring

Sacred Flasks may be new for Elden Ring, but if you have ever played a FromSoftware game before then you will know that they are like other items from Bloodborne and Dark Souls. They are important for restoration and will be even more useful when upgraded. So, here is how to upgrade them.

There are two Sacred Flasks that you will receive early on in the game, which are:

• The Flask of Crimson Tears which restores your Health.
• The Flask of Cerulean Tears which restores your Focus Points, which relate to your spellcasting abilities.

How to Upgrade and the Different Upgrade Types

You will find two types of upgrades for the two flasks within the game, and you will need different items for each.

The first upgrade is related to charges, which control how many times you can use the flasks before you need to refill them at a Site of Grace. For this, you will need items called Golden Seeds. Refills are also achieved by clearing out groups of enemies and destroying the small, red ball that beetles sometimes push around.

The second upgrade is related to how much your Health or magic will be restored every time you use one of the flasks. You will need to find items called Sacred Tears that appear throughout the game world. To track them all down will take a while, but you will often run into them on common routes.

When you encounter either Golden Seeds or Sacred Tears, go to your inventory and apply them to whichever flask you are looking to upgrade.
