New Genshin Impact leak reveals possible Sumeru character names

With Sumeru just a few updates away, Genshin Impact's army of leakers have been on the hunt for crumbs that could relate to the nation of wisdom. Their most recent finding is a lineup of names that could possibly make up the upcoming Sumeru characters.

Reddit user u/BinhTurtle posted screenshots taken from the WFP Discord channel in r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks. The post introduces information from a Chinese leaker, who had removed their original post—so all leaked translations are based on screenshots taken by other members of the community.

The leaked names include Djajeet, Tighnari, Nafs, Dori, and Nahida. It's unclear whether they are male or female characters, but the leak specifies that there will be two new male characters after Version 3.0 whose names have yet to be leaked. Based on comments in the Reddit thread, the leaked names seem to be of Indian and Arabic origin, hinting that they will likely appear in Sumeru.

It's not the first time a Sumeru character name has been leaked. Earlier rumors spoke of Nilou, a female character with the "girl" body type (similar to Keqing, Hu Tao, Sangonomiya Kokomi), whose name is also reminiscent of Sumeru's theme.

However, with Version 3.0—which will take the Traveler to Sumer—still at least four updates away, these leaks are extremely unreliable and are subject to massive change. So take them with a grain of salt, and watch out for more leaks leading up to the exciting Sumeru update.
