Final Fantasy XIV is one of the most popular MMOs in the world right now. But when you’re hit with an error message, such as the lobby server error 2002, it can be extremely frustrating. But what is lobby server error 2002, and how do you fix this error?
Lobby server error 2002 is an error that appears when Final Fantasy XIV happens when there are large numbers of players in queue for the game. Final Fantasy XIV has a maximum number of people that can queue for a server at a time, and if you attempt to log on after that point, you’ll be kicked and see the lobby server error 2002.

Final Fantasy XIV “The Lobby Server has Encountered an Error” fix
Another version of this error is when you see a message reading “the lobby server has encountered an error.” This is also due to servers having excessive numbers of logins.
The best option for fixing all these issues is to simply log out and wait for the queue to go down. These issues naturally occur after outages or during periods of excessive queuing. The error is designed to prevent servers from crashing from having too many players logging in at the same time.
