How to get Star Fragments in Animal Crossing: New Horizon

A rare cosmic event.

Animal Crossing: New Horizon is a game filled to the brim with activities for you to complete. Many of them give you unique ways to decorate your home and town. Star Fragments are some of the most coveted crafting materials in the game as they are the only way to get the game's zodiac furniture.

When do Star Fragments appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

You can only obtain star Fragments at night after 7pm from wishing on a shooting star on a clear night. This is a random event, and you need to listen for a chiming sign and then search for a shooting star in the sky. Once you see the star, have your hands empty and press A. If you successfully wish on a star, it should glow brighter, and the next day Star Fragments will appear on the beach.

Celeste does now need to be on your island for shooting stars to appear. In addition, there is an event called a Meteor Shower where you can farm Star Fragments. The amount you can get in a single night seems to cap at 20. If this event is going to occur, it will be mentioned in the daily announcement and by your villagers.
