How to beat The Hateful in God of War Ragnarök

Ooooh, they're an angry one.

Spread across the nine realms in God of War Ragnarök are six Draugr Holes that must be closed. Of course, with it being a God of War game, closing them off entails beating the snot out of what comes out of said holes. In this case, it's a Draugr called The Hateful, which has a bad case of immortality that Kratos needs to solve. Here's how to snuff that flame.

How to defeat The Hateful from Draugr Holes in God of War Ragnarök

The Hateful can be an overwhelming fight if players let it be. Many boss encounters in God of War Ragnarök are one-on-one affairs. That isn't the case here, as The Hateful is firmly a believer in inviting multiple people to the party. Let your companion deal with the additional enemies while you focus on bringing the hurt to The Hateful. Since there are six different Draugr Holes, The Hateful encountered will have varying levels of health. There's no shame in leveling up your equipment and returning when you're better prepared.

As for the fight itself, The Hateful is also a fan of lighting Kratos on fire. Keep an eye on them, dodge when the ring turns red, and land your counterattacks as often as possible, as they're extremely effective. Beyond that, there's nothing too special about this fight, as The Hateful is just a Draugr with a fancy title. The odds are that you've fought plenty by the time you find your first Draugr Hole. The only difference is that this one has a larger health bar. So go forth and show them the error of popping out of that hole.
