Destiny 2 Prolonged Engagement – How to Get and Best Perks

Weapon recycling is a common practice in Destiny 2. While some guns might not be outright copies of one another, they are similar enough that you know what you're getting into. Such is the case with the Prolonged Engagement SMG. Released in Season 19, this Veist product has quickly become a favorite among both the PvE and PvP communities. Here's how to get your hands on it and what rolls to chase.

How to get Prolonged Engagement in Destiny 2

Prolonged Engagement is a random drop acquired from completing Vanguard Ops playlist activities and claiming rank-up packages from Commander Zavala in the Tower. Due to its nature of being a random drop, it may take some time before it drops.

Prolonged Engagement God Rolls

PvE God Roll - Prolonged Engagement

  • Arrowhead Brake: Greatly controls recoil and increases handling speed.
  • Appended Mag: Increases magazine size.
  • Subsistence: Defeating targets partially reloads the magazine from reserves.
  • Headstone: Precision final blows spawn a Stasis crystal at the victim's location.
  • Veist Stinger: Damaging an enemy with this weapon has a small chance to reload the magazine and increase movement speed while aiming down sights.

PvP God Roll - Prolonged Engagement

  • Arrowhead Brake: Greatly controls recoil and increases handling speed.
  • Ricochet Rounds: Rounds ricochet off hard surfaces. Increases stability and slightly increases range.
  • Killing Wind: Final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration.
  • Headstone: Precision final blows spawn a Stasis crystal at the victim's location.
  • Veist Stinger: Damaging an enemy with this weapon has a small chance to reload the magazine and increase movement speed while aiming down sights.
