What are the prerequisites to begin the Lost Ark x The Witcher limited time event?

First off, there is one way you can get into White Wolf's Rest without any preparation, and that is by tagging along with a member or members of your party who have already unlocked the island. In this case, their prerequisites trump your lack thereof, allowing you to reach the island without completing any previous content.

However, most players will be looking to visit the island whenever they want. You will need to complete the Unidentified Vortex starting quest first. This quest sends you straight to White Wolf's Rest to begin the event, and can be found in a few different places:

  • The Guild Investigator NPC in each large city will give you the quest.
  • In the Lutheran Continent, the quest will be called Unidentified Whirlpool, and is only available to players who have completed the To The Sea! quest first.
  • Lastly, in Elgasia you can use the Find a Person quest to then start the quest, which will be named Unidentified Whirlwind.

Though the quest needs to be completed to start the event, it is the only requirement. However, you cannot repeat the quest, so be sure to complete it with friends if you plan to complete it together.

How long will the Lost Ark x Witcher event last?

Be sure to get into this crossover between the two games, as it will only be around for just over a month, from January 18, 2023 to February 22, 2023. While this is certainly a fair stretch of time, there are plenty of items and cosmetics to be reaped, so be sure to get a start on it as soon as possible. Items ranging from weapon, character, and Mokoko skins, to event specific Witcher potions, and even a wallpaper are all available through the event. Lastly, as soon as the event is over, White Wolf's Rest will disappear from the game.
