How to find Thestrals in Hogwarts Legacy
Thestrals are one of the magical creatures found all around the map in Hogwarts Legacy but you need to search at different Thestral dens to find them. To catch them, you need to travel to one of the Thestral dens in the North Ford Bog Region. Travel to this region after getting the Nab Sack. Using this, you can catch and rescue any magical creature. Once you have caught a Thestral, keeping them in Vivarium allows you to get magical materials that upgrade your gear. Vivarium is a magical space inside the Room of Requirement where you can keep your magical creatures safe and sound. Two spells can come in handy while trying to catch these creatures. Thestrals are really fast, so to catch them, first use the Disillusionment spell to blend with your surroundings, carefully move closer to the Thestral and use Levioso. This will make the creatures levitate off the ground, which is when you can quickly catch them with your Nab Sack.
How to find Thestral Hairs in Hogwarts Legacy
Thestral Hairs are used in making a wand. It is considered one of the most powerful wand cores that can be used, much like a Dragon and Basilisk. You can purchase Thestral Hair from Brood and Peck at Hogsmeade Village. This is a shop where you can find every magical item or resource a witch or wizard may need. You can also collect Thestral Hair from the creatures in your Vivarium. Feed them and pet them regularly to get this magical material.
