Does Final Fantasy XVI have an open world?

The answer is no—Final Fantasy XVI is not an open-world game. Naoki Yoshida, the producer n Final Fantasy XVI, confirmed this in an interview. He also stated the game itself would not be linear. This likely means that Final Fantasy XVI will feature a semi-open world with several regions that can be explored but not as freely as an open-world game.
