I love my PC, but consoles are always a great choice for cozy evenings where I can lay on the couch and play. Having said that, it would be nice to play Honkai Star Rail on PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Switch. While the game is available on PC and mobile (iOS and Android), that's still not the case with other platforms. Here's everything we know about the Honkai Star Rail console release date.

When is Honkai Star Rail coming out on PS5?

I'm used to waiting for console ports as a predominantly PC player. However, at Summer Game Fest 2023, more information about the console version of Honkai Star Rail was announced. Prepare to board the Astral Express on PlayStation 5 on October 11, 2023 (UTC+8).

You can pre-register to claim a four-star Erudition Light Cone called The Seriousness of Breakfast. Based on the number of registrants, HoYoverse will distribute pre-registration achievement rewards that will be funneled directly to your in-game mail. In addition, you can pre-order bundles from the PlayStation Store before October 11, 2023, 06:00 (UTC+8) for additional rewards.

When is Honkai Star Rail coming out on PS4?

Like the PlayStation 5, players can expect to play Honkai Star Rail on the last-generation PlayStation 4 on October 11, 2023. You can benefit from the same pre-registration and pre-order rewards. The Version 1.4 update will be released a little later on the same day, so you can enjoy all-new content as soon as you log in.

Is Honkai Star Rail coming out on Switch?

There are no plans for Honkai Star Rail to come to Switch. While there are many anime titles on Nintendo Switch, developers from HoYoverse are currently focused on PC and mobile platforms, with PS4 & PS5 as next in line.

Is Honkai Star Rail coming out on Xbox?

I have heard no plans for Honkai Star Rail coming to Xbox, and I fear it never will. As an Xbox version of Genshin, Impact still does not exist. For now, you can play the game on PC or mobile devices, and if it did come to Xbox, you could continue playing there thanks to the cross-progression possibility. Honkai Star Rail is a game that unites all gamers, no matter what platform they prefer, so don't miss out on the action if your console is unavailable.
