How to enable Diablo 4 FPS Counter

Track your frames.

Slaughtering hordes of enemies is more fun with a higher framerate, and you can know just how many frames you're hitting Diablo 4 with a simple method. Here's how to enable the in-game frames per second counter.

How to show your FPS in Diablo 4

Enabling the FPS counter is as simple as hitting CTRL + R while in the game and it'll create a tracker in the bottom left corner of the screen. Obviously, that's not an input you can use on Xbox or PlayStation, and that's why this FPS counter is exclusive to the PC version.

Diablo 4 targets 60 FPS on consoles, and that's likely the reason there isn't a counter there. PCs on the other hand can go above and beyond that framerate, and players like to check how far their PC can push a game, whether that's Diablo 4 or something else entirely. Ultimately, it's not a too terribly difficult game to run going off the system requirements, so FPS issues shouldn't crop up very often if you're on a modern setup.

Can you move the FPS counter in Diablo 4?

Strangely enough, the FPS counter seems like it's going to be locked to that corner of the screen, so if you're not a fan of it's placement there's not anything you can do. This could be something that's changed in the future, but that's where it can be found for now.

It's not the end of the world, and the FPS counter doesn't exactly have to be on all the time once you've fine-tuned the various settings Diablo 4 has to offer. Once all that tinkering is done, you can move into finding a good class to play and seeing your character plow through hordes of demons with a smooth framerate.
