How long does it take to beat Amnesia The Bunker

How long until the lights go out?

Amnesia: The Bunker is the newest installment in the classic horror series, putting you straight into the frontline bunker during the Great War, but it won't be the enemy soldiers you will be fighting; something much more sinister roams through the bunker tunnels looking for fresh meat. During my first run, I was immediately presented with an exit, albeit blocked by rubble. The way out seemed obvious, some dynamite and a detonator would do the trick, but the Beast lurked around every corner. So how long did it take me to beat it? Find out in this article.

How long is the Amnesia: The Bunker play time?

It took me around six hours of playtime to beat Amnesia: The Bunker on my first playthrough. I was playing on Normal difficulty, as the game creators intended for it to be played. It never felt like padding, and the game seemed complete, leaving me satisfied, but some may still find it somewhat short. Fortunately, due to its nature, it makes sense for players to give it another go, trying different paths and new approaches to solving problems they first encountered.

It is precisely for that reason that you may find your experience to differ from mine somewhat. There will often be multiple ways to do things in this game, directly impacting how much time you will spend on a particular run. For example, during your run to obtain the Wrench locker code from Mission Storage, you will find that the door to access the Pillbox ladders is locked. You may attempt to find the key, which will take significantly longer than if you blow them up with a grenade.

Certain other elements, like the chosen difficulty, will also affect your run time. If you picked a more challenging difficulty, you would also need to make more runs to refill the power generator in the Admin room, spending more time on this process. The Beast will also tend to stick around longer the more you provoke it and will not go away as easily, forcing you to thread very carefully in some areas.
