How to get Kullervo in Warframe

A very, very angry Warframe...

Kullervo is the newest Warframe introduced in the Seven Crimes of Kullervo update, and features a major focus on Heavy Attack and melee-based combat. His sins fuel his powers, making him a fearsome melee opponent. Getting him is actually not too difficult this time around, but there is a bit of nuance to it, so here's everything you need to know about how to get your hands on this new angry Warframe.

How to farm Kullervro in Warframe

There are three ways to get Kullervro, with one available only for a limited time:

  • Limited Time Event
  • Normal Progression Path
  • In-game Store

In the first two methods, you'll need a new currency called Kullervro's Bane, which is obtained from Kullervro's Hold; depending on which method you use, the currency is obtained somewhat differently. Regardless of which of the two methods you use, you'll need to speak with Acrithis in the Dormizone, and ask to look at Kullervro's Archive. Here is everything you need to obtain Kullervro (apart from 42 Kullervro's Bane):

  • Kullervro Blueprint - 15 Kullervro's Bane
  • Kullervro Chassis Blueprint - 9 Kullervro's Bane
  • Kullervro Neurotics Blueprint - 9 Kullervro's Bane
  • Kullervro Systems Blueprint - 9 Kullervro's Bane

Obtain Kullervro via Limited Time Event

The Seven Crimes of Kullervro update did not introduce any sort of new story quest, but it launched with a limited-time event to allow players to farm Kullervro fairly quickly. You need to have access to the Duviri Paradox; if you already do, this is where things start to get a little odd. For one, Kullervro's components do not drop like most other Warframe; instead, you'll need to access Duviri from the Dormizone door. There you'll be presented with the usual Duviri intro screen, with the addition of Kullervo's Hold as an option. There is a timer involved.

Selecting Kullervo's Hold here will throw you into a Lone Story, which will give you the opportunity to face Kullervo at the end. You'll want to do this because defeating Kullervro will grant you Kullervro's Bane—the currency needed to purchase Kullervro, his three components, and his signature weapon.

Obtain Kullervro via Normal Progression Path

If you're reading at the time of posting, then you don't need to worry about this method as the Limited-Time one is much faster. If you can't participate in the Limited-Time event, then you'll need to get Kullervro through the normal progression path.

The general premise is the same as with the Limited-Time event (i.e. you'll still want to go to Kullervro's Hold and defeat Kullervro to get Kullervro's Bane). However, Kullervro's Hold will only show up on the map during the Anger, Sorrow, and Fear Spirals; it will not be selectable like it is during the Limited-Time event. During the final event in a spiral stage, find Kullervro's Hold on the map and speak with the Executioner to begin your fight against Kullervro.

Obtain Kullervro via In-Game Store

This is the simplest route, as it requires the least amount of effort and instantly rewards you with Kullervro. For a mere 325 Platinum, you can buy a fully built, catalyzed Kullervro without going through any of the extra efforts I mentioned earlier.

Platinum can be obtained using real money, or by selling high-value items to other players in the game. As I've been playing Warframe for its entire life cycle, I'm going with this method to skip the farm.
