Which Warframe should you choose in the Duviri Paradox?

In the Duviri Paradox, Warframe usage is rather limited, but you do eventually get access to one. If you're not sure which Warframe you should choose, then here's everything you need to know.

Best Warframe to choose in the Duviri Paradox

I have been a Warframe veteran since the game's Closed Beta and an active Founder, and I recommend you pick Mag as your Warframe for the Duviri Paradox questline. The reason is very simple: unlike the other two starter frames Excaliber and Volt, Mag allows you to group up enemies and pick items all with the press of a single button: Pull.

Mag's efficiency is extremely important because you do not have access to your normal Warframe roster during the quest, meaning no mods and no weapons. Mag has plenty of killing power with her abilities, something all three starter frames share. However, Mag is the full package here, and with such limitations placed upon you, you should go with the best of all possible worlds.

When can you use your Warframe in the Duviri Paradox?

The main usage of your Warframe will be within the Duviri 'underground' known as The Undercroft. There, the Mad King has very limited sway, so you are able to use your chosen Warframe as much as you like. Many missions on Duviri will take you into The Undercroft, so you'll be forced to use your Warframe there anyway. Additionally, for older players of the game, your Operator has access to their entire kit and weaponry while in the Undercroft. This effectively makes your Operator more powerful than the Warframe when it comes to raw killing potential.

Should you start Warframe in the Duviri Paradox?

The release of the Durviri Paradox update allows new players to begin Warframe traditionally, or within the bowls of the Duviri Paradox. It might be enticing to begin the game in one of its newer released areas, but I highly advise against doing so. The Duviri Paradox involves gameplay that is nowhere else in Warframe, meaning it is a rather misleading bit of content for a new player. The traditional start to Warframe is the normal gameplay loop new players can expect going forward, but the Duviri Paradox gameplay loop is tied solely to that piece of content.

The Duviari Paradox is also confusing from a narrative standpoint, as the content expects you to understand much of Warframe's established lore for it to make any sort of sense. Again, starting Warframe traditionally and going through the story quests will provide new players with much more context to the events of the Duviri Paradox, which is why you should steer clear if you're new to the game.
