The Boys collab is here!

After a month of the most recent seasonal update, Call of Duty is bringing yet another content drop for Modern Warfare 2, Warzone, and DMZ. This time around, players will get to see a Call of Duty and The Boys crossover that'll bring three popular characters from the TV show to the game. In this guide, I've showcased all the major changes coming with the Season 4 Reloaded update for CoD.

When does CoD Warzone Season 4 Reloaded release?

The Season 4 Reloaded update for Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 drops on July 12 at 9am PT. The pre-load for the update should go live one day prior, on July 11, for PlayStation and Xbox platforms. However, PC users will receive the patch only when the update goes live.

The Boys and Call of Duty crossover is here

If you've played the previous iteration of Warzone, you must remember the collaborations that brought pop-culture characters John Rambo, John McClane, and my personal favorite T-800 from Terminator. It's time for the fans of The Boys to rejoice as three superheroes from the show will be joining the battle as operators. These include Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir.

There will be separate cosmetic bundles for all of these superheroes, costing 2,400 CoD Points each. While the Starlight bundle will be available for purchase on July 12, Homelander and Black Noir are slated to arrive on July 16 and July 20, respectively. Besides the operators, a new field upgrade called Temp V will be added to Warzone for a limited time. Once equipped, this power-up will grant you superhero abilities like charge jump, electric shockwave, laser vision, and teleportation.

New Weapon, Game Modes, and Maps arriving with CoD S4R

Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer will be receiving a brand new 6v6 map called Vondel Waterfront. You can currently experience this map on a larger scale via the Warzone's Vondel map by visiting the Floating District POI. Furthermore, the final episode for Raid, the spec-ops mode, goes live on July 12.

As for Warzone, the Vondel map will now be featured on the Battle Royale playlist alongside Resurgence. While playing BR on Vondel, you'll also get the chance to visit the newest Gulag, inspired by the prison showers from the Verdansk era. Other additions to Vondel include the Occupation Scan event and Portable Redeploy Drone field upgrade.

Finally, get ready to welcome the newest weapon in MW2 and Warzone: the MX Guardian Shotgun. It's a full-auto shotgun that's said to be extremely potent at close-range, just like the KV Broadside. Players will also be able to unlock two new camos via the Diabolical Camo Challenges.
