DMZ Thinning The Herd Mission – Where to find Konni Soldiers

It was revealed in the Season 5 update for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 that the new PMC forces appearing across the DMZ are the Konni Group. Thinning The Herd is the first Tier 1 mission for the Shadow Company faction. It tasks players to eliminate the Konni Soldiers on different DMZ maps.

DMZ Thinning The Herd Mission walkthrough

Below are your objectives for Thinning The Herd:

• Kill 5 Konni Soldiers in Al Mazrah.
• Kill 6 Konni Soldiers in Vondel.
• Kill 5 Konni Soldiers on Ashika Island.

For this mission, you have to kill very few AI enemies every match. That's not a challenge, but finding the Konni Soldiers can be difficult if you're not looking in the right place.

Where to find Konni Soldiers in Al Mazrah

Two types of AI enemies can be found in Al Mazrah: AQ Soldiers and Konni Soldiers. The former appears all across the map and can be easily distinguished by their attire. Konni Soldiers can be identified by their military outfit with red-colored bandanas and cloth patches (see the above image for example).

If you're having trouble locating Konni Soldiers in Al Mazrah, just head to the southernmost part of the map. I've generally seen these enemies parachute into the DMZ around the Sarrif Bay, Al-Malik Airport, and Sa'id City POIs. Also, look out for gunshots, as they may be coming from AQ Soldiers shooting at Konni Soldiers in the vicinity.

Where to find Konni Soldiers in Vondel

In Vondel, you'll find Shadow Company Soldiers fighting against Konni Soldiers. Both factions aren't difficult to find at all. Go to a nearby stronghold, and you'll find Konni Soldiers inside. Quick tip, don't shoot at Shadow Company Soldiers, as they're friendly. But they'll start shooting at you for the rest of the match if you hit them first.

Where to find Konni Soldiers on Ashika Island

Konni Soldiers can be found all across Ashika Island as the entire map is now being controlled by this faction. So get the required number of kills and finish the Thinning The Herd mission.
