Where to find Starfield Ship Repair Kits (Locations)

Spock! Transfer all energy into shields! What do you mean they're down?!

Space fights are a fact of starfaring life in Starfield, and with it come many perils. Though my ship survived the last battle, the damage done to it by my enemies was devastating. With no apparent means of mending the damage, I figured duct tape would do it. I applied the patch and moved on to another star system, only to be destroyed in an ambush. To help you avoid getting a taste of vacuum like I did, I've compiled this guide to show you where to find Ship Repair Kits and how to use them!

Other ways to obtain Starfield Repair Kits in Starfield

There are other ways to obtain Ship Repair Kits in Starfield if you're out of money. Winning fights against other space vessels will frequently produce Ship Parts in a loot container that remains after the battle among the spaceship debris.

Hailing and offering to trade with merchants and other ships can net you a quick batch of Ship Parts, as the passing ships frequently have them on board. If you're a true space pirate, you can also board ships and take them against their will! Disabling the unsuspecting ship's engines and boarding them will also ensure they don't resist too much. Plus, it even gets you a brand-new ship, which you can claim for yourself, potentially enabling you to ditch your old, banged-up one.

How to use Starfield Ship Repair Kits in combat

Once you engage in combat with enemy ships in Starfield, there's a chance that they can go through your shields. Once that happens, they will start damaging your Hull integrity, which acts like your ship's health bar. To keep yourself alive, press O on your keyboard or the right thumbstick on your Xbox controller to initiate immediate hull repair. Be aware that the effect will not be immediate, so use this ability preemptively.
