The Flying Leech gives Cosmetic resources and can be found in the Frozen Plains on planet Akila. This animal flies above the ground which makes it extremely tricky to spot. If you have the Sense Star Stuff (starborn power) use it to detect life forms nearby. I would also recommend increasing the range of your scanner by leveling up specific skills.

To find life forms in the ocean, land at the edge of a biome where you'll see the Coastal region pop up. For instance, you can go to the Coniferous Forest (Coastal) area to scout for this creature. After landing, go to the beach and use your scanner to search underwater. Be careful as the water on this planet is contaminated with chemicals, so spending too much time swimming depletes health.
