With only a few days to go until the Version 4.2 update, which will see new characters Furina and Charlotte in the first phase, Genshin Impact has unveiled the new characters for the following Version 4.3 update. It will follow the double waifu banner trend, featuring Navia and Captain Chevreuse.
Despite all the excitement following the Hydro Archon's upcoming release, both Navia and Captain Chevreuse are sure to get players to mull before they pull. They boast beautiful designs and allegedly interesting kits that offer new angles to old Elemental Reactions.
Players have previously met Navia in the Fontaine Archon Quest. She's the current president of the Spina di Rosula, a charitable organization that helps Fontainins with matters the Gardes could not be bothered with. Navia is a driven and quick-witted leader who doesn't hesitate to jump into action. She is confirmed to be a Geo character based on her Vision, but HoYoverse has not revealed her rarity and weapon. Leakers allege that she may be a five-star claymore user and could possibly offer some innovations to the largely unused Crystallize Reaction.

Meanwhile, Captain Chevreuse has yet to make an appearance in Genshin Impact, but she has appeared in a few NPC voice lines. She's a gun-wielding Special Security and Surveillance Patrol Captain and is often used to instill fear into Fontainian children, keeping them from being naughty.
Based on her artwork, Chevreuse is expected to be a Pyro character, but HoYoverse has yet to reveal her weapon and rarity. Leakers state she might be a four-star Pyro polearm user—but her weapon usage may be closer to a "gunlance." The alternate weapon style will be applied similarly to characters like Mika, Wriothesley, and Shikanoin Heizou, who use existing weapons in theory but apply them uniquely in battle.
Both Navia and Captain Chevreuse will be released in Genshin Impact's Version 4.3 update with unconfirmed banner placements. The update is expected to arrive close to the last week of December, assuming there are no production delays.
