Prince of Persia in Chronological order

The Prince of Persia series is an interesting one in that there are varied trilogies and continuations within the series. The original Prince of Persia and two sequels, Prince of Persia 2 and Prince of Persia 3D, follow a different world and timeline than other entries. Likewise, The Prince of Persia series was rebooted with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, while the 2008 Prince of Persia sends the series back in time. That said, this is the closest we can get to a chronological list of Prince of Persia titles.

  • Prince of Persia - 2008 (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Prince of Persia: Epilogue - 2009 (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - 2003 (PS2, Xbox, GameCube)
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - 2010 (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Battles of Prince of Persia - 2005 (Nintendo DS)
  • Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - 2004 (PS2, Xbox, GameCube)
  • Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones - 2005 (PS2, Xbox, GameCube)
  • Prince of Persia - 1989 (Apple II)
  • Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame - 1993 (MS-DOS)
  • Prince of Persia 3D - 1999 (Windows)
  • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - 2024 (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, Nintendo Switch)

It is hard to place the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown in the timeline, as the developers have not given us any clues about where the game falls. It follows its original story and features a protagonist who is not the Prince. However, the powers from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time appear in the game, placing them within the same timeline.
