Tekken 8 Victor Guide - Combos and BNBs

Victor's fighting style is an interesting mixture of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid and Noctis from Tekken 7. Victor is also the founder of the Raven Unit, which makes him a commanding officer of Raven and Master Raven. He is very dangerous at close range, thanks to his numerous weapons, but he can also cover distance quickly. His Iai Stance is very destructive and can dish out damaging blows.

Victor Combos - Important Moves

Victor has several moves you can use to start and build combinations. Out of the moves I will show, one is a Special Stance, one is a Dash, and one is a Power Crush.

  • Iai Stance (3+4) - This is a special stance in which Victor grabs his sword and gets ready to slice his opponent, similar to Mitsurugi in Soul Calibur games. This stance is extremely aggressive, and Victor cannot block while being in Iai mode. However, moves from Iai Stance are devastating.
  • Perfumer (f,3) - Perfumer is Victor's special stance in which he leaps toward his opponent. The special stance opens for new moves and new combinations. You can use Perfumer to connect strings into longer combos.
  • Failnaught (b,1+2) - This devastating attack has two main purposes. It is a Heat Engager, which means you can start the Heat Mode when you hit your target. Also, Failnaught is a Power Crush, which means it can absorb the opponent's attacks while charging.

Tekken 8 Victor Combo Examples

  • d/f 2 > 2,2,2 > 2 > 4,3,2 - By far the easiest Victor's combo. Just mind your timing, and you'll execute it without much effort.
  • d/f 2 > u/f 4 > Dash > d/f 4, 2 > Iai Stance 1, 2, 2 - This combo starts with a launch, continues into air kick and dash, then a juggle that opens Iai Stance and finishes with an Iai combination.
  • d/f 2 > d/f 3, 4 > d/f 3, 2 > (During Iai Stance) 2 > b 1, F > (During Perfumer) 2, 2 > (During Iai Stance) 1, 2, 2 - This combo is pretty difficult to use, but it's good to know because it combines both Victor's special stances, Iai Stance and Perfumer.

How to Read Movelist

This guide uses standard Tekken novelist legend. For the new Tekken players, that means there are numbers instead of buttons. Number 1 is a left punch or X/Square button; number 2 is a right punch or Y/Triangle button. The same goes for kicks; number 3 is the left kick or A/X button, and number 4 is the right kick or B/Circle button.

The movement commands are in letters, so "f" is forward, "b" is back, "u" is up, and "d" is down. The same goes for combination; for example, d/f is down-forward. Capital letters mean that you hold the direction button instead of just pressing it.
