With over 50 playable characters in Tekken 7, it can be overwhelming for new and returning players alike to find out who is the best to use. As the game goes on sale for dirt cheap quite often, there's no shortage of those new players jumping in each day, so it's helpful to know who dominates and who doesn't.

Best Tekken 7 characters

Top Tier

Characters who find themselves in this tier often dominate in their matchups. That doesn't mean a newbie would be an instant pro playing one of them, but it would certainly go a long way to winning matches early on.

Akuma is a character from Street Fighter and arguably the best in all of Tekken 7. He finds himself in good company with the likes of Paul, Geese Howard, and Devil Jin, among others.

Middle Tier

Characters found in this tier are viable, but typically won't be seen dominating in tournaments like the others would. Bottom Tier

Characters in this tier can still be fun to play, but they are difficult to learn, and even when they are learned, they won't be all that great. A player mashing buttons can find a lot of fun playing with Kuma or Panda, but people trying to improve are generally encouraged to steer clear of them.
