How to get a cozy sleeping bag in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2

Take a nap, get an XP boost.

Phase 2 of Season of Discovery is now allowing you to get some additional XP with a brand-new item: the cozy sleeping bag. This item is unique to SoD, and you can get it no matter which faction you are part of.

If you are Alliance, you will need to start in Westfall. There is a note that can be found in the starred area above; look for it among a field full of Harvester robots. The note reads, "Not all that burns is lost. Find the twin land, find the place." Make sure to pick up the quest, and you will need to head to the Barrens next. Take the boat from Stranglethorn Veil over to Ratchet.

Then, you'll need to take the Crossroads Road to the south. If you are Horde, you will start in the Barrens at this location and to Westfall afterward.

After collecting the quests from both Westfall and the Barrens, no matter which faction you are, you will need to make your way to Sun Rock Retreat in the Stonetalon Mountains. Go past the entrance of the Sun Rock Retreat and head north, then look for a path to the west. There will be a little camp at the top of the path. Interact with the item in the box next to the tent where the star is in the screen capture below.

Next up is a jumping puzzle; go to the western-most part of the camp and jump down from the gap there. Below, you can hop over to a dirt pile. Interact with it to get to the next part of the quest chain. If you are having trouble, I would suggest this helpful YouTube video by WoW player Malachite.

The dirt pile next to the camp north of Sun Rock Retreat will direct you to Lock Modan, located east of Ironforge. Go to the middle of the dam, then look to the north and down. There is a little ledge you can jump down to with a little bed, a spy glass, and some trinkets along the back wall. Interact with the trinkets, then either hearth or jump off into the water and swim to the Wetlands.

Eagle's Fist and This Must Be The Place quests

The final part of this quest chain is the most annoying part of the whole thing, but it's almost over. So just remember that you will soon have your cozy sleeping bag buff. Go to Southshore, then head northeast until you find Thorandin's Wall. Once you are standing where the Wall and the road intersect, you will need to head north.

Look for a hole in the wall; there will be a car leaning in a way that you can parkour onto it. Keep climbing up until you see a doorway into the building.

You are now in a safe house; walk through it and onto the balcony. When you walk through the door to get back outside along the Wall, turn immediately to your right and look beside the door. There is a giant scroll and a small bag hanging up there; click on the bag and then the scroll to finish up the quest and nab your very own sleeping bag. Then make sure to get some rest after all that traveling.

What does the cozy sleeping bag do in WoW SoD?

The cozy sleeping bag is a usable item that you can interact with in your inventory. If you use it, your toon will lay a bed down on the ground, then you can walk over it to take a nap. If you remain in the bed for one minute, you will get a buff to increase XP gains. You can stack this up to three times by sleeping for additional minutes, giving you up to a 3% boost to XP.
