How to get Ceramic Plate in Valheim

To get your hands on this elusive plate you must battle two of the most ferocious monsters in Valheim; Molder and Queen. You'll find Molder in the Mountain biome and Queen in the Mistlands. The former must be slain to obtain the Dragon Tear which will unlock the Artisan crafting station, while the latter drops the Majestic Carapace for the Artisan table's upgrade; the Artisan's Press.

Once you've killed these mighty creatures, you'll have access to crafting the workshops needed for Ceramic Plates. To start with make sure you've got your Hammer handy and navigate over to the Crafting tab, find the Artisan's Table and plop it down somewhere under a roof. Here are a list of materials needed for the crafting of Artisan's Table:

  • 10x Wood.
  • 2x Dragon Tear.

After crafting the table you'll then need to put your handyman skills to use by designing an Artisan's Press to go alongside your snazzy new table. The Artisan's Press is a Crafting Improvement object, meaning that if you place it in the immediate area of the Artisan's Table, you'll automatically upgrade your table to level 2 and unlock new recipes. So using the same method as before, grab your Hammer, find the Crafting tab, and then the Artisan's Press. Note the glowing tether linking the Artisan's Press to the Artisan's Table in the screenshot above. This will be your guide for where you can place it. For that you'll need:

  • 5x Black Marble.
  • 5x Bronze.
  • 1x Majestic Carapace.
  • And make sure your Artisan's table is nearby!

You'll find Black Marble as a mineable resource from the remains of the giant Jotun. These skeletal corpses can be found littered across the Mistlands biome and are your main source of Black Marble. To mine these remains you must have the Blackmetal Pickaxe, which is obtained in the Desert biome. With some elbow grease and a little time, you'll have plenty of Black Marble at your disposal.
