FFXIV to get more servers on Dynamis along with housing & transfer bonuses

We got some dynamo new servers coming!

As Final Fantasy XIV's Dawntrail expansion prepares to sail into Eorzea later this month, another announcement has revealed that Dynamis, the latest Data Center add to the game, will be getting a few new servers. That also means plenty of new housing districts and some tempting transfer bonuses for those interested.

Along with class changes, FFXIV is set to get some world changes as well. Per an official announcement on Lodestone, the Dynamis data center, which was added during the Endwalker expansion, will be getting some new servers for players to potentially call home.

These servers include:

  • Cuchulainn
  • Golem
  • Kraken
  • Rafflesia

In order to give players sufficient time before Dawntrail to decide if they want to settle in one of these servers, they will be going live next week on Tuesday, June 11 (3am PDT).

While Dynamis has yet to gain significant traction in terms of its player population, there are plenty of tempting transfer/character creation bonuses as part of FFXIV's World Population Balancing Incentive for all newly added data centers.

For those unfamiliar, if you decide that you want to create a new character on a "newly established" server, or transfer an existing character to one, there are some very generous bonuses offered for doing so.

However, note that these bonuses will remain available until the world population for a given server has reached a certain threshold. If you move to a server and it reaches that threshold soon after, your applied bonuses will still remain in place for 90 days.

These New World bonuses include:

  • Double EXP bonus until Level 80 is reached
  • 10 x Silver Chocobo Feathers (can be exchanged for low-mid gear to make leveling easier)
  • Gift of 1,000,000 gil
  • 15 days of free play time

Keep in mind, the gil bonus can only be applied once per data center to one service account. In addition, those currently on a free trial must purchase the full game before Level 30 to receive both the gil and play time bonuses. Further details about the transfer bonuses can be read on the Lodestone here.

New FFXIV servers also bring new housing districts

As most seasoned FFXIV players know by now, new servers also means plenty of new housing districts with hundreds of new plots to choose from. This also acts as another incentive to settle on a new server, as fewer players means far less competition in housing lotteries.

Housing plots will become available on all of Dynamis' new servers on Tuesday, June 11 (8am PDT). In a similar fashion to other housing districts in the game, Wards 1-9 are only open to Free Companies, while Wards 10-24 are private plots for individual players.

If you're interested in getting a house for yourself, be sure to keep in mind that there is a demolition timer for all occupied housing plots in FFXIV, due to overwhelming demand for space. If you don't log in and visit your house for more than 30 days, it will automatically be demolished and the base value of the plot (in gil) will be returned to you. However, all indoor/outdoor furnishing items placed in the plot will be lost.
