Dragon Age Inquisition Cheats and Console Command List

No more total party kills!

Occasionally, I found Dragon Age Inquisition challenging, so I wondered if it had any cheats and console commands like the previous game versions to help me. In this article, I cover Console Commands and alternative ways of gaining the edge in DAI.

Dragon Age Inquisition Cheats and Console Command List

Dragon Age Inquisition did not implement any traditional console commands for Dragon Age Inquisition, and as a result, there is no official way to directly enter commands and modify the game's state through the console.

At a certain point, there was a way to alter the game's executable file, but after publishing this article, this exploit was patched. However, this method still works for older Dragon Age installments; you can use it to change things up a bit. To do this, follow the instructions below.

  1. Assuming you used the recommended install path, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\.
  2. Right-click DragonAgeInquition.exe and select Properties.
  3. Add -enabledeveloperconsole to the end of the Target field. It should read C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\DragonAgeInquisition.exe -enabledeveloperconsole.
  4. Click Ok.
  5. When you are in the game, press the ~ (tilde) key to enter the developer console.

Or, you can do this via the Dragon Age Inquisition shortcut on your desktop and follow the same instructions.

Once you have done everything above, you can use the cheats below to alter your game. Here are all Dragon Age Inquisition console commands:

runscript pc_immortalEnables God Mode.
Xrunscript dbg_setattrib [x y]Gives your player a one-minute attribute buff.
runscript addxp [amount]Adds the specified amount of XP to your character(s).
runscript chargen mageChanges the player to a level 2 mage.
runscript chargen rogueChanges the player to a level 2 rogue.
runscript chargen warriorChanges the player to a level 2 warrior.
runscript bowlingforfereldenKnocks back enemies and creates a shield around you.
runscript zz_supercrit playerGives the player 1000 health, 1000 mana, 50 Dexterity, and 50 Strength.
runscript healplayerHeals the player party.
runscript killallhostilesKills all nearby enemies.
runscript injury rempartyRemoves all party injuries.
runscript addmoney [amount]Add the specified money to your character.

This should make even the toughest enemies a breeze and add some spice to this RPG classic!

How to use software tools and Mods to cheat in Dragon Age Inquisition

By removing the command console exploit from Dragon Age Inquisition, the developers have removed the primary way of cheating from the game. However, alternative ways remain viable, mainly using external software tools to manipulate the game's memory or data files. Such tools offer players the ability to edit their inventory contents, the number of healing potions, and even character stats to give them an edge.

Using Dragon Age Inquisition mods will go a long way in sprucing up your playing experience while providing many quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay. Unlike the command console feature, Dragon Age games have always been mod-friendly, and this iteration is no exception, so going this route always made sense to me.
