The annual Rising event has returned in Final Fantasy XIV to help bring the summer season in Eorzea to a close and provide players with more awesome rewards. If you want to participate, here's our handy guide to the FFXIV The Rising 2024 Event.
How to complete FFXIV The Rising 2024 event quest and obtain rewards
The Rising 2024 event in FFXIV kicks off in Limsa Lominsa, so teleport over to the city if you're not already there. Go to the main aetheryte and use the Aethernet to teleport to the Aftcastle waypoint at the Upper Decks.
Head to the plaza that's fully decorated for the event and speak to the Wandering Minstrel NPC at (X:11.3, 13.7) to pick up the Level 15 quest called 'Rising to the Call'. After the Wandering Minstrel enlists your help with preparing the "finishing touches" for the Rising celebrations, this quest will take you to the Marauder's Guild (make sure to go down to the guild's lower level!), where you'll meet a lalafell named Ayoyo.
The subsequent objectives will have you speaking with multiple local NPCs in Limsa Lominsa about the upcoming celebrations. Afterward, it will follow with one more Level 15 quest from Ayoyo back in the Aftcastle plaza called 'We Who Are About to Set Sail Salute You'. Upon completing the objectives for this quest at the Anchor Yard area of Limsa Lominsa, you'll be rewarded with the Brushed-up Krile minion.
Additional rewards are also available from the Rising Vendor at (X:11.8, Y:13.7), to the left of where you picked up the event quests in the Aftcastle plaza. The rewards include a new furnishing and various firecracker consumables, such as:
- Rising Table Lamp (furnishing) - 2,000 gil
- Realm Reborn Red - 19 gil
- Magicked Prism (Meteor Survivor) - 19 gil
- Heavenscracker - 19 gil
- Meteor Shower - 19 gil
- Magicked Prism (Flowers) - 19 gil
- Nymeia Potpourri - 19 gil
On top of all that, new in-game items to commemorate the event are available to purchase on the Mog Station optional item store. They include plenty of new artwork furnishings for your in-game apartment/house, two new orchestrion rolls, and the Reborn Phoenix mount from the 2023 version of the Rising event.
Be sure to pay close attention to the final cutscenes during the second quest, as a very special NPC pays the Warrior of Light a visit (no spoilers)!
Also, after finishing the second quest, the game will notify you that "certain notable personages have been seen to frequent the Anchor Yard this Rising. Do the same, and you may be greeted with an unexpected encounter".
To engage this, interact with the glimmering "Anchor Yard" objective point on the ground at the Anchor Yard, right next to where you concluded the second event quest. The game will prompt you with "Enjoy the sea breeze awhile?". Upon choosing "Yes", a variety of local Limsa Lominsa NPC options will display, allowing you to enjoy cutscenes with any of those options.
