Is Genshin Impact on Steam

Genshin Impact has taken the world by storm, but many gamers want all their games to be in one place, especially if playing on PC. So is Genshin Impact available on Steam, PC's biggest gaming digital distribution client?

The answer is no and yes. Genshin Impact can not be downloaded from Steam or any other distribution software like GoG, Epic Game Store, or Uplay. It can only be acquired via miHoYo's own publishing site and downloading their client to install it. There is no word if Genshin will appear on any other client, so if you are waiting for the Steam release, just bite the bullet and download it from miHoYo.

But you can play Genshin Impact through Steam itself to access all the features Steam provides, chat, screenshots, and the like. All you need to do is use Steams add a Non-Steam Games function.

To do this, wait until Genshin Impact has been installed and log-in to your Stream account. Then follow these steps.

• In the bottom left-hand corner, they'll be an Add a Game option.
  • Click on it and then select Add A Non-Steam Game.
• Navigate through the list of games and apps to find Genshin Impact.
  • Tick the box to the left of its name.
• Then click Add Selected Programs.

Check your Library and Genshin Impact will be there and then run it like you would any other Steam game.
